Potato Puree Pie With MeatPotato puree pie with meat: recipe preparation

Slice potatoes, already peeled, into large dice. Heat water in the quick pot, add a little salt and cook the potatoes for 5 minutes with the lid closed.

In a frying pan with olive oil fry the meat seasoned with salt and pepper to taste. While it cooks, it breaks crumbles with the spatula all the pieces so that the loose meat remains. Do not stop stirring from time to time. When you brown a little, add the glass of wine. You can use white wine, if you wish. Cover, lower the heat and let it reduce all alcohol.

Place the drained potatoes in a bowl large enough to work the mashed potatoes. You can grind them with a passport if you prefer. Add the butter to the potatoes, still hot, and flatten them with the fork until obtaining a puree. Add milk to the potato until you get the desired texture.

Place an absorbent kitchen paper in a corner of the frying pan where you have cooked the meat to absorb the excess oil or drain the meat in a strainer.

In an ovenproof dish, distribute a layer of mashed potatoes. Use half the mash.

Cover the potato layer with some homemade tomato sauce (recipe here) and spread all the meat over, making sure the layers are as even as you can. Distribute a few tablespoons tomato to taste above the meat. You can mix the tomatoes and the meat before assembling the cake.

Cover the meat by distributing the remaining puree and smooth the surface. Distribute a good layer of grated cheese and decorate with a few sparks of mountain ham. You can use bacon or york ham, you can even reserve some meat for delivery.

Bring the tray to the oven on with the gratin (only upper heat). When the layer of cheese is browned, your potato meat pie will be finished.
